Kimberly Nelson is a writer, traveler, pop culture nerd, and karaoke enthusiast who lives in Chicago, Illinois. She studied theatre at Columbia College Chicago and comedy writing at The Second City Training Center. Kim writes essays, fiction, and road trip travelogues aiming to blend her love of nature and wildlife with geekery of all kids.
Kim finds inspiration in music, pop culture, ghost stories, road trips, comic book superheroes, ancient mythology, wild animals, woodland creatures, and karaoke bars. She is currently working on an essay collection about growing up as a mixed race/second generation Filipino American pop culture nerd in the Midwest.
